Inpired and spurred by Alice, I decided to do a little update about my life here in Taiwan.
As you all know, i was planning to go to SF for my MBA degree. However, this plan is now cancelled due to diefferent reasons…well, one because of my eyes, second because of my grandma, third because of some personal things which i dont think i should address here (but don’t come to ask me coz i dont think i want to talk about it)
Anyway, I am not going to SF anymore at this current moment and sorry for the pals who were expecting to see me.
My cousin is getting married this coming Monday, their engagement party and wedding banquet are on the same day which are kinda driving the whole family crazy. I will be the bridesmaid so I guess i would be extra busy. Gotta to pick up gowns, try on dresses, find photographers, make up artists, rehearsal….and so on. Wedding really is such a difficult things. Lately I’ve been thinking if i really want to get married. I don’t think I’m really willing to sacrifice for another man. (just personal opinion and my characteristic.) I just don’t understand why girls must MARRY into a family and live with them? why not boys marry into the girl’s family? No offense here, but I just dont see why.
So far I have no plan for my life, I am still trying to figure out things. U guys are lucky to know what you want to do in life …(or maybe you don’t ?!)
I have been doing lots of things that will do me good now such as yoga, swimming, dancing and 氣功. Not like I have felt anything so different now but i believe in the long run they will do me good. At least I exercise I think. (Ning has been running too.)
thinking of getting a new phone coz my old phone is starting to act weird. I can’t find a perfect phone for myself. (No iphone coz i don’t want to use iphone) any other suggestions?
I miss everyone too and i want to know about what everyone else’s doing. Can you guys update?
love, J.

Hey everyone. Haven’t heard from you all in a long while! How’s everybody doing at your part of the world? Can you believe it’s already august? Time flies doesn’t it?
Well, I have been well here in Australia. The Tan family and I went on a family trip in June/July. It was pretty relaxing – the best part was to be able to go back to HK to see my family. And, when I saw them, I realized how much I actually have missed them and how much things I have missed out while I am not around with them. I wish I could see them more often, but you know what – that’s life for now. The next time I am going to see them is next month for me and william’s wedding banquet!! After that, I guess I just gotta work harder to be a frequent flyer to HK every now and then (or more often)
Anyway, as I mentioned earlier that next month will be william and my wedding banquet! I can’t wait to see Mark, and seems like you are the only one coming in our group. well, jolin and steph to be confirmed. Everything is pretty much arranged for the big days in KL and HK respectively, so hopefully those days will be more enjoyable rather than stressful for us.
Even though William and I have been officially married for over a year time now, I am kind of looking forward to wearing my wedding gown again. Well at least it could be depreciated more? lol. Honestly, it is quite a nice dress and it would be a waste to be worn only once!
I am making pretty good use of it now I guess!
As for my photography, I have been a little lazy these days after going on a weekend photography trip with my class in early July to 12 apostles and the Otways. We took so many photos – well to be precise, we took so long to take our photos! We had to carry all our gears (camera, tripod, filter, flash, light meter, etc. ) and hiked to waterfalls and different areas to take photographs. It was a really really tiring trip but it was a good experience because throughout the whole trip we were only allowed to take photos with our film camera. Therefore, you gotta think properly how the pictures are gonna come out before you click that button. I definitely feel like I have become a better photographer after that trip, and taking photographs is more for the quality rather than the quantity. I wish I could share my photos with you here but since they are recorded in films so I need to get them scanned first before I could share them. Don’t worry, I will try to do them soon lol. I would probably need to use some photos for my folio anyway.
So, I felt like I have taken so much pictures during the trip therefore I am having a “break” from my gear. I believe it’s time to pick them up again now – i’ve been slacking for tooooo long lol
Alright my friends, how are we? Could you guys give us some update on your life?
Cheers, miss y’all!!

Hey guys,
Most of you probably know that I have a car but i thought i would ‘officialise’ it by putting up some pictures.
Yes look at her in all of her majesty. I love my car. although recently i did kinda dent/scratch her up. i got some paintless dent removal specialists to come out and fix her up. cost me $375. which is alot better than the quotes i got from car body shops. VW dealer bodyshop quoted me $4800, whilst another shop quoted $1500. can you believe that? just under $5k to fix the dent.
anyway yeah. she’s all good now. little curbage on the rims and some paints missing from the dent incident but she still looks good. the photos are from before the accident.
in other news, i will be going to greece in about a week! first time. always wanted to do one of those island holiday kind of things

hey guys,
Im glad to be back at JT. I know I think I’ve been lazy not updating because I was busy with a lot a lot of things. haha. its largely because ethel’s been occupying my computer all the time, I cant update. Anyways, lets put the excuse aside because you’re not here to hear that.
You know, I’m really disappointed in you ladies, none of you are coming to Alice & William’s wedding. Its like, been almost 2 years, and I thought we had this covered up meeting up in Malaysia. But i guess thats not happening at all!!! When is the big party I was expecting huh?
Lately I’ve been busy at work, a lot of things happening – which is good because that means our family business is growing. Besides that, I havent really been doing any social activities with anyone else besides my family. I feel so anti-social now, and I need to catch back the time when I was a bit more active.
We are heading to China in about 3 weeks time, and I cant wait to just have a break. I will also be in Malaysia for a couple of nights, but no relax for that one cause I’m meeting Ethel’s parents. It feels different this time because we are getting married, YES, getting married people. That is my big announcement actually, and hopefully it wont come as a big surprise because most of you ask me hows me and Ethel, and I thought if I told you we are getting married, that will answer all your questions. To be honest, I’ve been with Ethel for only a short while, I’ve come to decide that she is the one I want to spend the rest of my life with. It’s a big decision ultimately, and for both of us, its really exciting. Now back to her parents, I guess I will be their future son-in-law, but I only met them twice? I will definitely need to play catch-up, and maybe spend more time with them just as much as Ethel is spending with mine. The date we have next year is February 19, 2011 – we will book that date this Saturday at the City Hall. This will be in Australia, but the actual wedding in Malaysia – we are still deciding on that. And I wish you all can be here, and support this great love =) haha
Btw, my family has 3 ipads now. Everyone has one, and Im thinking of getting one just cause I might need to get a new computer. It’s pretty cool and convenient.

Although I am an anti-PC individual, I can’t prevent myself from using PC at work – as most of the programs used at work only support PC (what a sucker). Anyway, I got a new computer 2 days ago to replace the old unit here. It is installed with the new Windows 7 in this computer. It looks really different from the old XP or Vista. It has some new features (well if one hasn’t used or seen Mac, these are pretty “NEW” discoveries from Windows) One of the new things that I found is called Windows Live Writer.
It is a program that lets you write your blog in and it would publish for you automatically. The coolest thing I found about it is that you could customized your blog into different fonts and colors and you can add pictures / photo albums / table / map / videos – well not like i m going to use all of those but this is quite a handy program for whom do not want to log in to their blog every time they want to blog.
As I am writing this entry, I am actually using the Windows Live Writer. Just wanted to try this out while updating you guys with recent.
Anyway, I have been waiting for G+W to blog and give you guys some updates on their own. But still haven’t heard from these 2. So – I might just going to spill some news here now. HAHA HAHA (sounds evil right?) Well, I should just spill the partial news out and the rest is for you to find out yourself. All I am going to say is George got some news to announce to you all.
It is a good news so don’t worry, and steph, i know this is not new for you.
I hope this will trigger George to make his announcement here sooner!
For William, he has been really busy with work – lots of projects going on – and he always says he doesn’t have time to blog. I am sorry guys – I tried!
He is doing well tho. We just can’t wait to have our holidays in June, September, December and of course for next year June to US & Europe!
Alright guys, see you next time! Take care and miss you all.

Hey Guys!!
As I have promised, here is my second part to the trip. I went to Viet Nam with an organization call Child Sex Slavery. It is a big cause in Cambodia after India. What happened is that families who are very very poor were willing to sell their children away to Mama San and Papa San for money. Isn’t that sad you guys? What these Mama San do with these children is to have them serve men for about $50 per person. These children probably have to serve from 10-15 men per day and if they refused, they get beaten up and harsh punishment. These children are age 5-16 years. Once they reach 17, if they make it alive, the Mama San kick them out on the streets because they are no longer children. Even when these girl finally get out, they are very damages physically that they won’t live past 30 years. I had a chance to go to Cambodia. By the way guys, Cambodians girls are very not cute looking. My biggest regret is that I didn’t call Win out to meet him. He was that guy I known while being at USF. Mark, twins, and Steph know him for sure. I wish I looked for him harder so I see him in Cambodia. I don’t know why I was very stupid for not doing that. Back to my organization, the founder try to get awareness out about this disturbing issue and build houses to save these poor girls. If you guys want to make a donation go to onebodyvillage.com and they take PayPal. The founder sometimes, would buy these girls from Mama San for about 700 USD. He also called the United States government attention to helped and to destroy one of the sites that these girls were working at. Gosh, I felt very blessed after this trip you guys. Its funny, I know there are a lot of unfortunate people out there who would swap their lives in a second and yet I am bitching about my life like almost everyday. I just feel like appreciation is an art and I’m hardly getting there. I tried to enjoy and make my life to the fullest. I can’t wait to go back to Viet Nam guys. That’s all for now. Please please take care of yourselves. I really hope somehow we all will see each other again.
Much love,
Kim

Hello all,
I saw Conan O’Brian today live at San Jose University. I’m not sure if any of you have been following the story, or care about what’s happened with Conan O’Brian, or even know who he is. To cut a long story short; he used to be a host of a late night talk show and he was ‘fired’ about 3 months ago due to some public dispute between him, Jay Leno (another talk show host) and the TV studios.
Anyway so yeah he’s doing a 32 city tour around US, and Janice and I got tickets to watch it. It was good fun and was cool to see/go.
And thats all i can care to write about right now. it’s 5am here and i’m still awake. i came back from the office at 3.30 tonight. I left work early to go to see Conan and felt i should go back to the office to finish my work. blehhhhhh

Hey guys! Haven’t posted for awhile and realize maybe it’s time to blog again! My post wouldn’t be as “colorful” as Jolin’s but I will try to make it more interesting – well, TRY!
I have been kind of busy lately – not only with work but also for school and my personal life. 2 weeks ago, I had some relatives visiting from Hong Kong so I spent some time with them taking them around Melbourne and drove around like crazy. Even though driving is still not my thing, it was REAL good to see my relatives from home. Makes me feel better (from being homesick) yet making me wanna go back sooner to see my family! After being away from Hong Kong – Home for a long time, at least haven’t been permanently staying there for 8 years + now, I realized that I didn’t have much bonding time with all my cousins and Aunts + Uncles like we used to in my earlier childhood. This time is probably the first time I have spent such a long time with them in 8 years to learn more about them that I have missed during these few years. I am glad I had this opportunity – there are probably lesser chances like this nowdays as I am married out of the country. It’s a funny feeling to really see that me and my cousins are all GROWN UP now – we are not kids anymore who used to hang out and play toys together.
Work is also another thing that has been preoccupying our times – if you didn’t know that, twins’ family business has a factory outlet below the office. And we used to hire this Chinese woman to be our shop manager / cashier / AP ( or data entry is more appropriate). We have recently found her stealing money from our shop sales very frequently, so long story shorten – she is gone now and we are not planning to hire another person just yet. So we have to take turn taking care of the shop. Therefore, we are rather busy taking care of the shop while still managing what we have been doing simultaneously.
School is getting harder I think – maybe I just haven’t practiced enough recently. I need to get myself back on track for it.
I know, I know, my post is not that interesting – but at least you know what I have been up to lately! haha
Melbourne is getting colder these days – I should blame the weather for making me feel so lazy all the time
ANYWAYYYY….
If you wait for George + William’s posts (not sure when tho), maybe they will bring more surprises and excitements to you guys lol. We will see !
Take care guys and miss you my friends!
